The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering aims to produce qualified and dynamic engineers in the fast changing area of Electronics Communication Engineering.

The Department has sophisticated and modern laboratory equipment and software for several research and development work in the areas of Digital Signal Processing, Neural Networks and different soft computing techniques. The Department has trained faculty from reputed institutes of India. The students have been placed in different national and multinational companies. The department is modern, with software based practical classes through ORCAD and MATLAB platforms from the first year. A Robotics Club is functional in the department since 2009. The department has its own departmental library, along with the main library, to facilitate the departmental students. Tutorial classes are also given in the evening from the start of semesters.
