| The department of Mechanical Engineering has an intake of 60 students annually. The well equipped laboratories and dedicated, qualified and committed faculty and supporting staff together form the core of the branch. The department has strategic alliances with companies like NALCO, HAL, VEDANTA & JINDAL as well as with others like CTTC, CIPET, IIW & NSIC etc., to provide superior theoretical and practical training to students of the Mechanical Engineering Department. The mission of the Department is to establish itself as a centre of excellence in the field of Mechanical Engineering, through innovative teaching-learning methods, intensive CAD/CAM short term programs, INSTITUTE-INDUSTRY partnerships, and projects on Mechanical Engineering, appropriate technology, social development and research.
